Mitsubishi has released Australian 2026 Outlander pricing, with the petrol range starting at $39,990 RRP and the Black Edition making a return appearance.
The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander update is subtle, following a bigger refresh in 2025 which included tweaked styling, cabin changes and an Australian-developed ride and steering tune. This model-year change is about adding a dark-trim option in the middle of the range.
The medium SUV market wants price, warranty and equipment as buyer must-haves. Outlander is still one of Mitsubishi Australia’s core family SUVs, and the 2026 range has a spread of five-seat, seven-seat, 2WD and AWD grades in an attempt to fine tune its mass market attraction against cheaper opposition.

Black Edition returns
The return of the Outlander Black Edition 2WD sits above LS 2WD, uses the LS grade as its base and is priced from $45,490 RRP with seven seats.
Mitsubishi gives it a black grille, black front and rear bumper treatment, black door mirrors, gloss black B and C-pillar finishes and 20-inch black alloy wheels. The cabin gets black headlining, black synthetic leather bolsters and black Granlux seat trim.
Colours are Graphite Grey, Black Diamond, Red Diamond and White Diamond.
At the top of the range, EXCEED TOURER AWD adds a new Red Diamond and Black Mica two-tone paint option for a flagship $58,740 RRP.

What carries over
The 2026 Outlander keeps the earlier hardware and cabin changes from 2025 and adds improved CVT sound isolation, tyres chosen for Australian driving conditions and local suspension and electronic power steering tuning across the range.
All grades also keep the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto, in-built navigation, LED cabin lighting, Yamaha Premium eight-speaker audio and multiple USB power points.
Safety equipment updates the Blind Spot Intervention and Lane Departure Prevention, a 360-degree camera, rear automatic braking when the camera is fitted, driver monitoring and traffic sign recognition linked with adaptive cruise control. The last one had better be optional because speed sign displays are usually wrong.
The range: ES starts the range with 18-inch alloys. LS adds machined two-tone 18-inch wheels, Mitsubishi Connect and rear USB-C sockets. Aspire upgrades to 20-inch machined wheels and adds Mi-Pilot lane centring, traffic jam assistance and a heated steering wheel.
EXCEED and EXCEED TOURER get top drawer cabin equipment, including ventilated front seats, aluminium pedals, a frameless digital rear-view mirror, front door foot lamps, a full-size alloy spare and revised under-floor cargo storage. EXCEED TOURER also gets quilted brown semi-aniline leather and the 12-speaker Yamaha Ultimate sound system.
Warranty and timing
The 2026 Mitsubishi Outlander petrol range is due in June 2026.
Mitsubishi’s 10/10/10 Diamond Advantage package applies, with a 10-year or 200,000km manufacturer warranty when servicing at a company dealer, 10 years of capped price servicing and 10 years of roadside assistance.
Outlander updates can be summarised by keeping last year’s update as they are, adding the black-trim grade that has already worked for Mitsubishi before, and to make the $39,990 starting price easy to understand in a segment full of white noise. For this price fully electric and PHEV brands can be had, and some of them are a full segment larger. SUV pricing is now a blood sport.
