All New Nissan Qashqai Gets a Classy New look and More tech

Although the pricing hasn’t been released, a display model was made available to us, and we can say the new look is fresh, and the cabin has a huge jump in quality.

“This new model delivers more of everything Australian drivers love about the Qashqai, with more power, more safety equipment, and more technology,” says Adam Paterson, Managing Director Nissan Australia.

The modestly-sized 1.3-litre turbo ‘s output increases by 4kW, and 50Nm, to 110kW/250Nm. There is also a new CVT X-Tronic automatic that Nissan claims will boost economy.

You can now tow and extra 300kg, for a total of1500kg braked capacity.

As always, the top models get the good stuff, and a new 12.3-inch high-definition infotainment system with DAB digital radio, plus Wireless Apple CarPlay, is standard on the ST+ model and above.

Colours are: Qashqai “hero” colour of Magnetic Blue, there are 5 two-tone paint schemes. Fuji Sunset Red, Ceramic Gray and Ivory Pearl, all matched to a Pearl Black roof.

ST

Euro NCAP five-star safety package with centre airbags for occupant-to-occupant protection, intelligent cruise, blind-spot intervention, multi-mode auto with paddle shifts, and rear passenger air vents.

Qashqai ST has 17-inch alloy wheels, auto LED headlights, smart entry and start, 7” TFT meter and rear AEB.

ST+

Stepping up to ST+ adds LED fog lights, 18-inch alloys, 12.3-inch HD infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay, wired Android Auto, satellite navigation, Around View monitor and more.

ST-L

The ST-L adds Pro-PILOT semi-autonomous driving and safety aids, adaptive Matrix LED headlights, with 12 cells, privacy glass, LED turn signals, leather accented seating, 19-inch alloys, eight-way powered driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, wireless phone charging, heated steering wheel, heated front seats and more.

Ti

Ti has always been the range topper, and as such get all the gear. There is a wide 10.8-inch Head Up Display, a quilted leather interior with massage function on the front seats, 12.3-inch full TFT instrument cluster, hands-free power tailgate, 10-speaker premium BOSE audio system and more.
