Anti-hybrid letter left on our test car: what an odd gentleman!

anti hybrid letter

I thought I’d share this with you all. This letter was left on our windscreen in the carpark of the Sydney Opera House. It’s a great shame I didn’t have the chance to explain a few things to this gentleman such as the battery recycling program and the fact that his fuel figures are wrong. I’m afraid his 206 GT Peugeot does not get better fuel consumption that a hybrid, especially around town. If this man is so smart, perhaps a career in the automotive sector would suit him. I rather think we can see why he doesn’t work in it currently. The word “buffoon” comes to mind, as does “ignorant” and “poorly educated”. But I digress, what do you think?

You should be thankful he just left a note. A hybrid owner I know had her car keyed along the whole length of one side.

he claims to be an engineer but his command of the English language appears to be pre-highschool!

I agree with your comments and can only add that I found the most aggravating thing about notes like this is that the writer does not have the courage to enter into discussion as evidenced by his failure (cowardice) to sign his ‘helpful’ note.

PS. Yes I am biased, I drive a Holden Volt.

I loved the Volt. My only issue was the 65k OZ price for it!
