Warranty is an important consideration to buyers, with many brands offering 5, 7, and 10 year warranties. Although some have conditions such as “when serviced at company dealers”, most have unlimited kilometres.
Audi Australia is joining that trend with the permanent introduction of a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty for all new Audi vehicles delivered from 2022.
All new Audis delivered to private Australian customers from January 1, 2021 carried “promotional” five-year warranty as part of special company offer. Buyers loved it with a slight increase in Audi sales (16,003 for 2021 VS 15,868 for 2020) despite semiconductor issues.
“We’ve listened to our customers and are proud to make our five-year warranty a permanent feature of the Audi ownership experience,” said Paul Sansom, Director of Audi Australia.
“There are many aspects of Audi ownership that delight our customers, but we understand that the reassurance of a five-year warranty is very highly regarded. We are pleased to provide this valuable peace-of-mind for our customers,” said Mr Sansom.

The new warranty applies to all new Audi vehicles delivered from 2022, including all S, RS and e-tron variants.
In addition to the new five-year warranty, Audi provides 12 years manufacturer warranty for bodywork against corrosion perforation for new vehicles.
Audi Australia already makes comprehensive five-year service plans available for customers to purchase across the entire new vehicle range, providing further surety when it comes to vehicle running costs. Servicing takes place every 12 months, or 15,000km, whichever comes sooner, according to the Audi Australia servicing schedule.
Conditional Audi Experience customer membership and Audi Roadside Assist are included for all in-warranty customers. Both require be re-activation for another 12 months following each scheduled service performed at an Audi dealership Service Centre. This is designed to keep owners within the Audi ecosystem.
The new Audi Australia warranty program replaces the former three-year, unlimited kilometre warranty.
