The final few TT Coupés will carry the “TT Final Edition” badge proudly in to history.
Many saw the first TT as a Golf in a pretty frock, a expensive hairdresser’s car that was all show and no go. TT has always a bit special, but despite its luscious sports styling, buyers continue to abandon passenger cars, even the sexy ones. As the move the electric propulsion accelerates, it isn’t worth Audi’s resources spending money developing a car that will get little love.
We can expect many more well-known models to follow suit in the coming years. The industry is undergoing one of its biggest upheavals since it was first created.
Audi TT 45 TFSI quattro Final Edition costs $88,479, has a 2.0 turbo 4 with 180kW/370Nm of power, a 0-100 of 5.1 seconds, and a 250km/h limited top speed.

TT Final Edition marries the modern Audi driver and safety aids, with a comfortable interior that is not a world away from the original car all those years ago.
The driver gets an Alcantara/leather flat-bottomed steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker. Powered S sport front seats have been lavished with Nappa leather, contrasting stitching and S embossing.
Digital displays include Audi’s virtual cockpit plus and an Audi MMI navigation system. There is Carplay/Android Auto, Audi phone box light, wireless charging, an eight-speaker sound system, and DAB+ Digital Radio.
Needless to say Audi’s standard driver and safety aids are also on board.
Was Audi TT a Success?
That depends on how success is measured. The Audi TT design concept was shown first at the 1995 Frankfurt International Motor Show. It was something new and fresh, with tis Ruebeneqsue body reminiscent of the Auto Union race cars of the 1930s. The TT name came from the famous Isle of Man TT (Tourist
Some argue that the Audi TT is a design classic, and during its 25-year history, over 650,000 TTs left the Gyor factory in Hungary, so buyers agree.
Either way, Audi TT’s days are numbered and only a few of the limited edition models will come to Australia. They can be had now, so off you go!
