Bentley Accelerates Its Electrification Strategy


Bentley has accelerated Beyond100 strategy to electrify its fleet with a Five-in-Five plan. Bentley which will launch a new electric model each year, from 2025, to bring forward the ongoing transformation of the motoring landscape world wide.

a £2.5 billion sustainable investment will realise this strategy. The announcement is a major boost at the Crewe facility, which is yet another shot in the arm for the region, and of course the UK as a sustainable base for high-value manufacturing.

Bentley has already spent considerable amounts to modernise the historic Crewe site, creating an industry-leading certified carbon neutral facility. This investment will further cement the company’s commitment to a sustainable future.

The next phase sees the extension of on-site energy production at Crewe, aiming to increase the number of solar panels from 30,000 to 40,000 in the next two years. Older models haven’t been forgotten either. Bentley is investigating using sustainable biofuel in fleet cars, including Bentley’s iconic Heritage Collection. The carbon neutral strategy extends to Bentley partners.

the site achieved carbon neutral production in 2019, but Bentley aims to reduce water consumption, waste to landfill and other environmental impacts for every vehicle built in Crewe to an absolute minimum until 2030.

Bentley’s luxury hybrid are claimed to be leaders their sector, so the Flying Spur PHEV launching in 2022 will be joined by a further five additional derivatives in due course.

Bentayga PHEV has already proved to be a favourite, signalling the positive direction taken so far, has been the right choice.
