Bentley’s Virtuoso Collection Turns Your Car Into a Concert Hall

Bentley has taken the Naim for Mulliner audio system developed for the coachbuilt Batur and made it available across the Continental GT, GTC, and Bentayga. The Virtuoso Collection wraps this £25,000 audio system in a curated interior package with Champagne Gold detailing and embroidery inspired by sound waves.

The Naim for Mulliner System

Fifteen years of partnership with Naim and over 10,000 hours of development went into the original Batur system. The Virtuoso Collection version uses eighteen speakers plus two upgraded drivers from the Batur, paired with Dolby Atmos for spatial audio that places you inside the music rather than in front of it.

Fraunhofer Symphoria rendering technology shapes the sound stage for each specific model. The result is surround sound that’s been tuned for the exact dimensions of your particular Bentley, not a generic car cabin.

Hand-Wound Focal Speakers

The speakers themselves come from Focal’s Grand Utopia line, featuring patented ‘M’ cone technology. A single-piece cone design without a core cover delivers rigidity without weight, reducing distortion and broadening the frequency response.

The hand-wound driver units have 15mm extra height, providing 20 per cent more cone movement. That translates to greater articulation and a broader dynamic range. The tweeters use aluminium/magnesium cones for what Bentley describes as “silky treble” with wide-angle diffusion suited to in-car listening.

Acoustic Engineering Throughout

It’s not just about the speakers. Bentley has placed soft Dinamica inserts throughout the door panels to absorb unwanted frequencies and vibrations. The bespoke speaker grilles offer 26 per cent greater acoustic transparency than standard, letting sound pass with minimal interruption.

Even the Mulliner overmats serve a purpose beyond luxury: they’re thick enough to contribute to sound absorption throughout the cabin.

A bespoke Virtuoso welcome animation greets you when you enter. The passenger fascia carries an etched Virtuoso design matching the treadplate.

The Virtuoso Collection is available now across Continental GT, GTC, and Bentayga, with Flying Spur to follow later this year. Mulliner co-creation is available for those who want to go further. Pricing on request, which in Bentley-speak means “if you have to ask…”
