BMW USA Annouces BMW M4 GT3 Customer Race Car for $530,000


BMW announced the the BMW M4 GT3 customer race car based built on the 2021 M4 Competition Coupe. The engine is a 3.0L straight-6 M TwinPower Turbo with 590 hp.

Princing is $530,000 in the US (excl. shipping), with the Competition Package being an option at $55,000

The BMW M4 GT3 will be able to race in such evets as: GT Daytona, and GT Daytona Pro classes of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the GT class of the SRO Fanatec GT World as well as SRO GT.

“BMW of North America is preparing to welcome the BMW M4 GT3 for the 2022 racing season and support our BMW Customer Racing family behind the latest offering from BMW M Motorsport,” said Victor Leleu, BMW NA Motorsport Manager. “We have little doubt that this car will be as successful as its predecessor, the BMW M6 GT3 – most recently the IMSA GTD winner at Mid-Ohio with Bill Auberlen, Robby Foley and our friends at Turner Motorsport.”

The  M4 GT3 engine is 80 lbs. lighter than the BMW M6 GT3 8-cyl unit.

The straight 6 puts out an astounding of 503 hp/479 lb-ft, and is the most powerful straight-6 engine BMW has ever fitted in a production car (M4 Competition).
