Can Audi E Tron EV Handle Mini Roadtrips

Audi E Tron May Be My New Favourite Car

I took the boys for a mini-roadtrip Hunter for an E tron excursion. Audi makes a decent SUV, and E Tron looks positively svelte compared to the bloated BMW and bland Benz. Both have a decidedly generic designs that are about as exciting as a bat in the face.

As you know. Max, Ethan and Casper are far harder with the clip board than I.

Here is what we thought:

Alan:

Stunning looks that made me want to touch myself.

For a change, Sportback SUVs don’t remind my of my Aunty Merle at an All-You-can-eat. I love wireless Apple CarPlay. Android uses a USB cable, and serves them right. The cabin is tasteful and incredibly spacious. For 150k, I’d have liked seat cooling, but the rest was 100% tickety boo.

If the price seems high, keep in mind there are 6 years servicing, roadside assist, and charging (Chargefox Ultrafast 350kw) included.

We worked out that for the same size SUV, you spend about $23,000 on fuel for 6 years at around 400k a week. Alternatively, in electricity you’ll spend less than half that, at $11,000. Servicing would be a further $3000. Even if you had to pay for the power, you’d be shelling out fewer shekels than for a dinosaur-powered car.

Ethan:

I want! YUM!

E Tron is big, it’s butch, it is kind to polar bears, and I can fit a surf board in. Gay boys like big, butch, and surfboards. We have an uber-charger nearby, Thanks Chargefox. We’ve also got a bevy of boxes littered about the farm for hooking up the electric fillies.

E Tron has E Quattro, so can handle a muddy track, and without gears, is super smooth. This is the first car all four of us lusted after.

Max:

We visited Drover’s Rest just for a lark.

Even mum insisted on riding shotgun, and she couldn’t care less about cars. That means E Tron has that rare thing, mums and theirs sons will both be happy.

We packed a picnic of tasty treats and headed up the far hill, and yes, mum muscled in on the action. The view there is a sensation worth going out of your way for. We have an electric golf buggy for the farm outbuildings, but I see an E Tron in our future. Mum was totally beguiled by the looks and the smooth ride.

Casper:

Audi is not the kind of car for a bloke who bangs things about for a living. Tradies will want a proper ute, not a posh car with a washing machine motor, right? Wrong.

The farm hands at Max’s place almost mowed us down trying to get a look in. I wish I’d know that’s all I had to do. Andy and Rex even took their shirts off, which I mention for my own gratuitous reasons.

Our trip was at the outer edge of tolerance, range wise. Nonetheless, it got my juices going. Handling was great, but E Trons  is more of a GT cruiser than a chav-magnate.
