Genesis GV80 SUV and G80 sedan have been given a ANCAP five-star safety rating. ANCAP is independent of the car makers so their ratings are highly prized. GV80 was the first Genesis SUV and is the high riding sibling of the G80 luxury sedan.
Genesis Motor Europe revealed it’s G70 Shooting Brake for savvy European customers. G70 Shooting Brake is what we in Australia call a “station wagon” version of the G70 sedan. Australian station wagon sales are slipping so it remains to be seen whether Genesis Australia will release it here.

Today the brand new Genesis GV70 SUV is revealed publicly in Korea. The camouflaged vehicle shown in the accompanying teaser photos previews the brand’s second SUV, a dynamic midsize SUV that joins the GV80 in a rapidly expanding model lineup. The camouflaged GV70 will be tested on public roads in Korea for one month, beginning today. Observers who are fortunate to catch it in the wild can scan a QR code on the vehicle’s wrap to learn more about the camouflage pattern and G-matrix.
