Classic Japanese cars have gained a cult following, especially those like the 90’s Skyline GT-R R32.

1992 Skyline GT-R R32

The Skyline has not been ruined by modders, but has had a Nismo 320kph speedo installed. It might well be hopeful but Skyline drivers will be smiling because they know the secret. It has been owned by a private collector since 2019 and is rated as Collector Grade. It has all the books, and has been given a thorough looking over at Shannons.

It has wear you’d expect with a 10,453km car, so is almost brand new. A paint metre reveals the original colour is entirely within OEM limits. It is completely original, and should sell for between $100,000 and $140,000.

1995 RX-7

This RX-7 is a rotary-engined cracker. It is 1 of 2 RX-7 SPs that Madza built at its Kingsgrove factory in Brilliant white, and is the only one which survives. This makes it one of the rarest cars at the auction, and indeed, anywhere in Australia.

It was one of 25 homologation models. The RX-7 was bought by a Queensland driver, the first of 3. It was then sold to a Queensland collector in 2018. It has just 83,362km on the clock, and while stored, has been properly serviced with fluids monitored and changed. During this owners stewardship, the RX-7 has been driven only on special occasions.

The RX-7 is sold with books, SP workshop manual, and receipts and should sell for $100,000 – $150,000

1983 RX-7

This series 3 coupe was the last model of the original RX-7 generation. Some say it is also the most attractive, and comes with the 5-speed gearbox.

The car is unfettled, and has silver alloys, sunroof and revised, better equipped interior. This model has become particularly loved by collectors, and is finished in bright yellow with charcoal trim.

It has had 2 owners, with the first owner holding her prized car for 20 years, and is expected to fetch $35,000 – $45,000, cheap for a future investment.

This WRX is comes with a comprehensive receipt folio, showing is has been well looked after during its 27 year lifetime. The current owner is a NSW WRX Club member who lives near Wollongong in NSW.

The WRX is I great shape and should sell with ‘no reserve’ for $24,000 – $28,000.

1995 Nissan 300ZX 25th Anniversary ‘Steve Millen’ Coupe

This is a classic Nissan sports car, and has had 5 owners who covered only 95,490km . This car has a host of extras including: sales brochures, period magazines featuring the 25th Anniversary model, factory tool kit, jack, protective covers for the twin targa roof, and a spare set of keys.

A beautiful example of the 300ZX, Shannons expects a ‘no reserve’ sale figure of  $20,000-$25,000.

1984 Mitsubishi Starion Turbo Coupe

The Starion is black with red trim is a rare bird that should go for $20,000-$25,000. There are few of these left and few are seen on the road these days.

1995 Toyota MR2

This MR2 is the rare Bathurst edition, in Dark Green Mica Metallic, with optional black leather upholstery.

It had only 197,769km when cataloged, and looks to be in extremely good condition for a 26 year old car.  It is a “no reserve’ auction expecting to realise $20,000-$25,000.
