Could Quartararo Be Back on a Winner at Gran Premio d’Italia


Fabio Quartararo get’s a 4th pole-position in a row with his impressive 1:45.187 qualifying time at  Gran Premio d’Italia Oakley. It was a lap record that put Fabio just in front of Francesco Bagnaia. Coming in 3rd was Johann Zarco (Pramac Racing), who left his run very late to get a front row spot.

Maverick Viñales had lots of hard riding ahead of him to score a pole position in his fight with fight with riders like Marc Marquez and Aleix Espargaro. Early on, Takaaki Nakagami and Enea Bastianini led the way, giving Viñales much frustration with Marc Marquez, sending him onto back wheel of the Yamaha.

Marc Marquez, hot on the heels of Viñales, went to P1, before Aleix Espargaro bumped Viñales, further . Viñales then had a lot to make up on his final lap, but a small error at the final corner saw off that challenge. Marc Marquez and Aleix Espargaro went into Q2, Viñales will start P13.

The top three in the Championship will sit 1-2-3 on the Round 6 start line. Aprilia’s Espargaro did a one of his best times of the season to get a good spot on Row 2. Miller, the Australian, will be one to watch. He is having a great season so far.

Over two tenths clear in qualifying, can Quartararo return to the top spot on the podium?  He will have his two nemeses in the Championship right beside him on the grid.
