Ducati Monster reached a historic mark, 350,000th sales over its long and illustrious lifetime. This Monster 1200 S “Black on Black”, was personally delivered by Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali and the Director of the Ducati Design Center Andrea Ferraresi to its owner, the Ducatista Sebastien Francois Yves Hervé De Rose.

Mr. De Rose, ordered his Monster 1200 S from the local Ducati dealer in Milan. He was invited to Borgo Panigale for the momentous handover, making it a real event.
The bike is complete with personalised plates, “250,000”. But, that’s not all, it also had a certificate of authenticity signed by Claudio Domenical, plus, a sketch by its designer, Angelo Amato.
Monster is Ducati’s biggest ever seller. It is also the longest-lived nameplate in the Ducati stable. It began in 1992 with a Superbike chassis stripped to its naked beauty. The launch of the first Monster, the M900 model, Ducati opened a new market segment, the sports naked.
Monster has seen many changes without losing sight of the original goal: be a fun-to-ride for everyone, from experienced, to enthusiasts. The Monster 600 opened the Ducati to younger riders. Other notable models include: 1100 in various the 4-valve versions, then the 797, 821 and 1200. Monster has been an outstanding success for Ducati.
On 2 December 2020, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer the next generation of Monster Monster which will appear at dealers in April 2021. The new bike is inspired by the original 1992 Monster, with a Superbike frame and a road-going high-performance engine. There is also available in a depowered learner legal version for beginner. The easy-to-manage performance, extremely low weight, a nimble and predictable chassis, and a extensive array of electronic equipment, mean anyone can ride one and feel at home.
Like all Italian design, Monster is elegant, powerful, and reliable.
