Gay Car Boys Talk Favourite Mazda

Mazda: Gay Car Boys Talk Mazda

Pubs have long been the place where the problems of the world are solved. Last night it was Mazda’s turn.  After 2nd Limoncello Martini, some G and T’s and a pitcher of Muller wine, much tipsiness came, and for some inexplicable reason, the subject turned to Mazda.

Here are our random thoughts, jotted down in no particular order, presented as unedited as possible.

Max thinks Mazda is comfortable, but a trifle too girlie for the country?

Where I grew up, the farmer’s wives had a Mazdas. They didn’t like the nasty rough edges on the Holden utes. There were an endless parade of Hiluxes too, but they have the charm John Howard, the wit of Angela Merkle, and the intelligence of Donald Trump.

Of the Japanese brands, I reckon Mazda has to be big-daddy, but I admit to having a secret crush on the LEXUS LC 500.

Capser prefers something upmarket.

I had an MX-5.. It was an early one in showgirl-ready condition. My ex-boyfriend was a quite-decent upholsterer, and we had it looking better than new I spent an absolute bomb on a leather and tartan interior. Sadly, that cheating bastard ran off the M1 while feeling up his Grndr date. I was absolutely livid.

To sooth my savaged nerves, I’m getting out of dodge the second lockdown ends. I’m getting a brand new MX-5 on Monday.

Of the Japanese cars, Mazda has the nicest cabin, but I like a bit of performance. MX-5.on the other hand is all about fun. And I do like people looking at me because I’m vein and self-obsessed!

Ethan Thinks Mazda is reliable, because his ’68 Mustang is always broken down.

OK, my ‘68‘Stang was dad’s car. It’s like that gym bunny down at Fitness First: you get him home only to find he is all front. You know the type? Great body but a brain like a sea cucumber. I grew up in rather crappy old Range Rovers, long past their best-by. I’m currently in a 25-year-old Rangie, when it works. We’ve got an Alvis rotting in the shed, but who has the time? In fact, the vineyard has loads of trucks and Quads. I “get my dirt on” when I’m up at the estate, but I’ve always wanted an MX-5.

Mazdas seem to be nicely put together.

Alan likes Mazda because it looks good.

Not only do does a Mazda look good, but the cabin is quiet and comfortable.  They’re well equipped but could use more power.

Some might be surprised to learn that I haven’t owned a car in decades, there just isn’t the room. I have a Kawasaki Z1000 ABS which is more than enough excitement for one lifetime.

When it comes to cars, I like Japanese reliability.

By the end of the night, we agreed that there were few cars we disliked. After we googled the reliability of just about every brand on the market, we decided the reason Mazda is number 2 is out dated transmissions, slow to the “electric” party, and Toyota has a bigger range and better marketing. So, now you know. And, if you hadn’t gathered, gays like MX-5.
