Hyundai Deploys a Robot Called Spot in Kia Plant

The Hyundai Group has introduced a rather cool ‘Factory Safety Service Robot for site safety at Kia’s plant in South Korea. The Group has also released a video of the Robot on its YouTube channel.

Remember the stories about Boston Dynamics’ quadruped robot? Like that robot, the Kia robot called Spot, uses artificial intelligence (AI), autonomous navigation, teleoperation technologies, and computing payload (AI Processing Service Unit) developed by the Group’s Robotics Lab for the Robot’s usage in various industrial tasks.
