Jeep Wrangler Whitecap: Arctic White Makes a Comeback

Jeep has dusted off one of its classic looks and slapped it on a 2026 Wrangler for the Twelve 4 Twelve celebration. Meet the Whitecap: bright, bold, and unapologetically Jeep. If you’ve ever loved the Arctic White top on the old CJ-Universal, this is the modern version, and yes, it still screams “I live for adventure… and occasional chaos.”

Available only on Sahara and Rubicon trims, the Whitecap isn’t subtle. It’s got a white hardtop, a white seven-slot grille, and the kind of decals that make you double-check if your neighbour’s Wrangler has suddenly gone rogue. The Rubicon even gets a matching hood decal, just in case you weren’t sure it was special. Optional Sky One-Touch powertop in white is there if you fancy letting the wind fling your hair everywhere.

Underneath the flair, it’s proper Wrangler business. Two engines, 2.0L turbo or 3.6L V6, with Selec-Trac 4×4 options—so whether you’re crawling over rocks, throwing mud like a toddler in a sandpit, or just leaving everyone at the lights wondering why your car looks like it belongs in a Jeep museum, you’re covered. Sahara and Rubicon tech makes sure you don’t have to sacrifice creature comforts for off-road cred.

The Whitecap is about personality first. You can kit it out your way, or just enjoy the fact that it turns heads without asking for permission. It’s part heritage, part show-off, part “I might drive through a creek later.” Jeep has done a neat job of blending a nod to the past with a modern vibe—like keeping the classic Arctic White without it feeling like a museum piece on wheels.

If you like your Wranglers with attitude and don’t mind looking a little extra while climbing hills or exploring trails, the Whitecap lands somewhere between nostalgia and “look at me, I’m going off-road in style.” It’s loud, it’s bright, it’s unapologetically Jeep—and honestly, it’s exactly what a special edition Wrangler should be.
