Kia EV3 Price and Detail AT LAST – What a Cutie


Kia Australia has announced the upcoming arrival of its all-electric small SUV, the Kia EV3, hitting dealerships later this month. The EV3 range offers a variety of trims and battery options.

Pricing and Variants:

  • Air Standard Range: Priced at $47,600 RRP, this base model features a 58.3 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a WLTP driving range of 436 km.
  • Air Long Range: Equipped with an 81.4 kWh battery, this variant boasts a class-leading WLTP range of 604 km.
  • Earth and GT-Line: Both trims come standard with the Long Range 81.4 kWh battery, offering a WLTP range of 563 km. The GT-Line, priced at $63,950 RRP, includes additional premium features.

Design and Features:

The EV3’s design showcases Kia’s Star Map lighting and Tiger Face elements, with the GT-Line with its own distinct front and rear lighting elements. The aerodynamic profile includes flush front and hidden rear door handles, complemented by trim-specific alloy wheels (17-inch for Air, 19-inch for Earth and GT-Line).

Inside, the EV3 emphasizes a ‘home-like’ continues the EV5 and EV9 theme with a soft, homey ambiance, minimalistic details and soft-touch materials. All grades feature a comprehensive digital interface, including a 12.3-inch Digital Driver Cluster, a 5.3-inch Climate Monitor, and a 12.3-inch Touch Screen Infotainment system with Kia’s latest Graphical User Interface (GUI). Standard features across the range encompass Kia Connect, over-the-air updates, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities. The Earth and GT-Line trims add a Smart Power Tailgate, while the GT-Line exclusively offers a Head-Up Display (HUD), a wide sunroof with a safety function, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium sound system.

The EV3 introduces the new iPedal 3.0 adjustable regenerative braking system, enabling one-pedal driving and optimizing energy efficiency. This system retains settings after restarting the vehicle and functions in reverse as well. Built on the E-GMP platform in a 400V configuration, the EV3 ensures a balance between performance and efficiency.

Safety and Space:

Safety features are comprehensive across all trims, including Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2) and a center side airbag. The EV3 leverages the E-GMP platform’s packaging benefits to maximize interior space, offering generous legroom, shoulder room, and headroom. Cargo capacity is ample, with 460 liters (VDA) in the rear and an additional 25 liters (VDA) in the front trunk.

Availability:

The Kia EV3 will be available in eight exterior colors across the lineup, with three distinct two-tone interior color schemes. Air models feature cloth trim, while Earth and GT-Line trims upgrade to artificial leather, with the Earth grade offering a choice between Subtle Grey and Light Warm Grey artificial leather.
