Kia has taken the wraps off the all-new EV4, a sleek electric vehicle available in both sedan and hatchback variants, ahead of its second Kia EV Day in Tarragona, Spain. Designed to cater to a broad demographic, the EV4 combines now-familiar aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, promising a stimulating driving experience.
Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, described the EV4 as a reinvention of mobility, highlighting its blend of modernity and practicality. “By offering both sedan and hatchback variants, we are bringing a unique experience to our customers,” he said.
A Striking New Look
The EV4 calls on Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, with brutalist sharp lines and fine technical detailing to create a vehicle that stands out in the compact EV segment. The front end uses a an EV-modified version of Kia’s EV Tiger Face, flanked by vertically oriented headlamps and the brand’s signature Star Map lighting.
Kia has moved towards the substantial look that runs through the EV range, with touches also now seen in the ICE models as they refresh.

EV4 Sedan: A Streamlined Silhouette
The EV4 sedan reimagines traditional four-door styling with a low nose and an elegant, long-tail design made possible by an EV-only platform. A distinctive two-piece rear spoiler and 19-inch machined wheels add to its dynamic presence, while a clean rear bumper enhances its futuristic appeal.
EV4 Hatchback: Almost an SUV
For those craving versatility, the EV4 hatchback offers a chunky yet refined profile, with contrasting black vertical C-pillars and strong lines along the guards. Wide-positioned taillights and a sloping rear window create n in-your-face look that blends the EV look with city car proportions.
EV4 GT-Line: Sporty and Futuristic
Kia also teased the high-performance EV4 GT-Line, with its aggressive wing-shaped bumpers and distinctive triangular-motif 19-inch wheels. These design touches could easily have gone horribly wrong, but Kia has managed to meld the futuristic with the familiar.
Imagine any car looking like this 10 years ago? No, nor can I.
What’s Next?
Kia will officially unveil the EV4’s detailed specifications and features on February 27, with an event video set to drop on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel in March. Expect more electrification announcements at the 2025 Kia EV Day in Spain on February 24, where Kia will outline its ambitious roadmap for the future of sustainable mobility.
The EV4 is shaping up to be a game-changer in the EV landscape, offering a perfect blend of style, performance, and practicality. Whether you’re a city slicker or a road trip enthusiast, Kia’s latest electric offering is ready to take on any adventure.
