Kia Corporation will host its 2025 Kia EV Day later this month at the Tarraco Arena in Tarragona, Spain. The event, following last year’s inaugural gathering in Korea, will introduce new electric models and concepts while outlining Kia’s approach to sustainable mobility.
A key focus this year is the company’s emphasis on modular vehicle design and flexible usability. Kia is expanding its role in the Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) sector, aiming to create electric vehicles that cater to a range of business and personal needs. The PBV initiative is expected to be a game-changer, offering customizable solutions for industries such as logistics, ride-sharing, and urban transport.
Among the anticipated reveals is the Kia EV4, which was first shown as a concept in 2023. Positioned as a sleek, modern alternative to traditional sedans, the EV4 is expected to bring advanced electric powertrain technology and a striking design. Also debuting is the Kia PV5, a PBV model initially showcased at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The PV5 is designed for commercial use, offering modular configurations for delivery services and shared mobility solutions. The company will also introduce the Concept EV2, a compact electric vehicle that will be part of its growing EV lineup, aimed at providing an affordable entry point into the EV market.

Previews of these models hint at a design approach influenced by Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ philosophy, with an emphasis on sharp lines and modular adaptability. The EV4, PV5, and Concept EV2 highlight the company’s focus on integrating new technology into its electric offerings, with improved battery efficiency, smart connectivity, and enhanced driver-assistance systems.
Kia’s broader electrification strategy will also be presented, including its PBV platform—an adaptable chassis that allows for various body configurations to meet different transportation needs. This skateboard-like platform is expected to make Kia’s electric models more adaptable, efficient, and easier to manufacture at scale.
Company executives will provide details on these new models and the brand’s long-term EV strategy. The event will also feature discussions on Kia’s efforts to enhance charging infrastructure and improve battery sustainability. A video of the event will be available on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel in March, giving a wider audience access to the latest developments.
With the launch of these new models, Kia continues to expand its EV lineup while positioning itself within the evolving electric vehicle market. As automakers push forward with electrification, Kia’s announcements at EV Day will be closely watched for insights into the future of electric mobility.
