Ringbrothers, unveiled the extreme “ENYO” super truck for this years SEMA. The 1948 Chevrolet has a Goodwin 1,000-horsepower tall-deck racing engine.

“Ringbrothers is in new territory with four vehicle debuts at this year’s SEMA Show,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Mike Ring. “But we are especially excited to share ENYO with the world as our most outrageous build yet. This long-term project really showcases our ability to explore new means of design, engineering and performance within an entirely new realm of challenges and production with our partners. The outcome speaks for itself.”

The truck was created after finding the right buyer to commission the build “ENYO”. The “anti-street-rod” is a chopped, channeled and sectioned 1948 Chevrolet pickup with a state-of-the-art chassis and suspension design. Its carbon fiber parts and aero management with wings and splitters is not your usual hot rod set-up.

The CAD-designed trim and parts were all created inhouse for this low-slung, open-wheeled, car-style chassis.

“We have been quietly planning this build for years, imagining and reimagining how it would ultimately take shape,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring. “The end result is truly a super truck that brings together two vehicles that should never have met to deliver immense character combined with power and performance usually reserved for today’s most advanced racecars. We’re thrilled to finally be able to share ENYO with the world.”

The a 510 cubic-inch tall-deck engine built by Todd Goodwin has 1,000 horsepower with Kinsler eight-stack injection, a Holley fuel management system and a Bowler Performance Corvette torque-tube 4L80 automatic transaxle.

When is grandfather’s axe, no longer grandfather’s axe?

There is a bespoke chassis designed by Scott Ahlman, at Ahlman Engineering, in conjunction with Roadster Shop. An original 1948 steel cab has been sliced and diced by Ringbrothers.

The cab is shorter and slimmer by four inches, but has been lengthened with a wedge cut. The rest of the body pieces are made with 3K-weave carbon fiber. A single-piece carbon-fiber belly pan starts at the front and fishes at the rear. Ringbrothers gave the truck power windows, bespoke stainless-steel fuel tank by Rick’s Tanks, nd a Vintage Air Gen II compact air-conditioning system.  The  unique cabin is a collaboration with Upholstery Unlimited and Gemini Technology Systems.

The open truck bed showcases the inner workings of this complex project, and the clamshell bonnet is fastened by electromagnetic latches. The gorgeous side pipes are made from 58 feet of titanium pie-cut welds and are connected to the shining one-off custom headers. ENYO is a gleaming alter to design and performance capabilities.
