Suzuki Redefines Entry Level Motoring with a new Auto in the Swift.

image Suzuki has done very well out of the entry level market. Who can forget the GTI which gave shopping carts a bit of oomph. What it meant was there was a Swift for everyone. The gear changes have always been light and easy with good steering and reasonable handling. It’s cheap and cheerful. Suzuki say the $17,690 means no other vehicle in the light car class comes close to matching Swift on value for money. They must have missed the Nissan Micra. For an extra grand you get keyless entry, climate control,  It’s got a teensy appetite with 6.2 l/100k. Suzuki claims the Swift is the only car in the entry level class to have 7 airbags and stability control as standard. Suzuki Australia General Manager Tony Devers said the new Swift GA automatic opened the door for more customers to afford the value, safety and outstanding driving dynamics of Suzuki’s world beating light car. “It features creature comforts including electric windows and mirrors, a four-speaker stereo system with USB connectivity and air conditioning as standard. “And of course, it comes standard with Swift’s legendary road handling ability and fun to drive performance.” Devers said Suzuki was determined to offer maximum value to Australian customers. “With its combination of a long list of standard features and a recommended retail price of just $17,690, the new GA automatic is proof positive of Suzuki’s commitment to providing value for money motoring,” said Devers. We’ll wait and see before passing judgement but if we were going on looks alone you’d be bored rigid before you got the doors unlocked.
