The full review will fill you in on the details, but the week in the BMW iX 40 xDrive has been a revelation. Though the exterior feels a trifle severe, the cabin is sublime, and the drive is serene.
The lounge chair seating has a boutique hotel lobby feel, while the curved screen appears to float about the monumental dash board.
A flat floor gives an impression of light and space, with a centre console like a piece of classic furniture. Designers went for ultra-modern, but the unmistakable mid-century feel creates an ambience more akin to a Scandy-centric lounge.
The near-silent drive allows the superb audio system to channel even the deepest tones directly into your soul.
