This year, we see a few new Nissan models, but the Honda and Chery winners were a real surprise. Electric and luxury vehicles feature highly, with the imperious LC500 V8 convertible, Genesis G80 Electric and Mercedes EQB electric scoring slots. The Jeep stays steady at number 20, but Genesis managed another gong with the super-fast GV60 getting some love. Kia’s Ev6 GT was no surprise at number 1, with its Porsche-like performance giving drivers an instant facelift.

Top 20 Most Beautiful LGBTI Cars Ever
Readers shunned many of the mainstream brands, not boding well for the complacent Australian automotive retailers. VW slipped off the top 10 sellers, and off our top 20 list. Top retailer, Toyota, was ignored completely in another shock vote.

Now there is the Gladiator too. What’s not to like?

19: 2022 BMW 230i Review. The Best 2 Series yet? It certainly ticked boxes for readers who could imagine a spot of weekend touring.

18: 2022 Tesla Mode Y Review- The good and the Bad
Tesla had a couple of issues with production, and covid and semiconductors, much like most other car makers, so Model Y, first delayed, then came in a couple of big bursts.
While this looked great on the balance sheets, it gave onlookers a slightly distorted view of the top 10 sales models.
You’ve seen our Model 3 reviews, so Model Y is just that, the same car with a taller roof. Is that a good thing? We’re not sure.

17: Nissan Z
Driving the new 2023 Nissan Z for the first time is a revelation.
It feels properly old-school, with the nannies keeping a respectful distance. The back-end gets tail-happy in either the manual or automatic, so give her some respect or suffer the consequences. Nisan has built a better Supra, an analogue car in a digital world, and I love it.
Launch Control is always on.

16: Genesis G80 Electrified – 4 Pissed Gay Boys’ Weekend Away
Gay boys like glamour, but Genesis surely isn’t glamourous, is it? Think again, it is bling AF.
No one is more critical of crappy plakky bits than a gay man. It often prolongs the tedium of a road trip beyond that which no normal human should be asked to endure. There is none of that in G80, Genesis’s chic range topper, or, is that Genesis’ range topper. Please advise.

2023 Genesis GV60 Performance AWD Review
0-100 in 4 seconds –
The Genesis GV60 did double duty as a gay daily driver, and as VIP transport to World Pride and the 45th Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. In the back seat were The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG and Kate Wickett, the CEO of World Pride.

14: Mercedes Benz EQB 350 a Missed Opportunity?
When you see a Mercedes Benz arrive, EQB or not, it should engender a sense of majesty and magnificence. Entering it should make you feel as if a power-wigged flunky has served a G and T and finger sandwiches on a silver tray. EQB is a repurposed GLB. There are 66.5kg battery that charges at up to 100kw, drive modes, and an interior coping with up to 7 passengers. Can a 7-seater really claim to be a compact SUV? Mercedes says yes.

14: Chery Omoda 5 EX – the Best Cheap Car on the Market
We’ve been impressed by Chery’s carefully planned re-entry into the somewhat troublesome automotive atmosphere. Precise burns are likely to land the Chinese car maker directly on target, and the established retailers are not going to be best pleased. It serves them right.

12: Hyundai’s IONIQ 6 – Merely Artful or Automotive Prophecy REVIEW
It is not often that concept cars make it to production, but IONIQ 6 so closely follows the Prophecy Concept that it is difficult to tell one from the other. In the world of automotive design, car makers keep one eye on the opposition, and the other eye on their purse.

11: 2023 Honda Civic – Top 10 Best Things
We loved the Honda Civic, it was always a family favourite, but here is the top 10 best things as per our panel of extremely gay reviewers:

10: Polestar 2 is a Favourite Gay EV Here’s Why
The fellas and I took the Polestar 2 Long Range AWD Performance for a run up the road. Max’s mum said to, and you don’t want to shit Max’s mum, believe me. 5 of us were set for the off, but Casper pulled a shonky and scored free tickets to a show in Melbs. “Don’t screw the help,” the saying goes.

9: 2023 Honda HR-V e:Hev – Is the hybrid better than the Petrol HR-V?
Well, it could hardly be worse. The extra trim and a natty lecky drivetrain go part way to making up for the shortcomings of the poverty-stricken sister. The exterior has a blue hew haloing the H badge on the grille. There are other hints of the part-batterified bits secreted within, but at 45 grand, I fancy something prettier, with more get-up-and-go.

8: Nissan Pathfinder Takes 4 Gay Lads Glamping
After the Pathfinder review, it seemed churlish not to get out of town for quiet, stress-relieving weekend. 4 people in a camper seems like a recipe for disaster, especially as none of them has so much a touched tent.

7: 2023 Nissan Leaf + Review – Bi-Directional Quick Charging Facts
Nissan launched the leaf with the customary wine and cheese night, getting journalists sloshed in hopes of a good review. With some cars that is a must, for they’re little more than chronic little boxes of boredom that wheeze and whine. They’re certainly not fun, and are barely useful let-alone worth their asking price. Leaf was not such a car.

6: 2023 Subaru Outback Sport XT Short Review – What’s New?
Subaru Outback has been a handsome -looking thing from the very first generation. It’s just a Liberty wagon, with a smidge more ground clearance, for those rambunctious stretches of unsealed road and distant camp grounds. The camper the better as far as I’m concerned.

5L Volvo C50 Recharge A Swedish Happy Ending – Full Review
For a moment I wondered why on earth a car maker would release a fastback version of an SUV. I ask the same question every single time a car maker does it. 2022 Volvo C40 Recharge is one of the very few cases where the fastback version is vastly better looking than the SUV version.

4: Subaru WRX Ts Sedan VS WRX Ts Wagon
When it comes down to it, the WRX wagon, sold as Levorg in some markets, is a softer, friendlier, more spacious version of the sedan. It has more space, so carries more of your stuff.
They share identical running gear and engine, with a 205kw/350Nm flat-4 (boxer) turbo,

3: LEXUS LC 500 Convertible Review: Sexy, Brutal, and Thirsty
LC 500 Convertible is a big, lusty, car that is sold as a 2+2, but is really a 2-seater, as seen in our video. LC 500 uses a gorgeous 5.0L all-alloy V8 that needs no turbo to get 351kw and 540Nm power figures. Its world-first 10-speed automatic is a stunner, with shifts that are imperceptible much of the time.

3: 2023 Peugeot 308 Premium Hatch – the Good and the Bad
After Max’s quick spin earlier in the week, the Peugeot 308 got a spot of town duty, just the way it was designed to be used. I struggle to think of a sexier family hatch, even one for gay families.

1: 2023 Kia EV6 GT Review: The Lad’s Weekend Away
In Charlie’s previous EV6 GT story, we talked about what solid state batteries will do to transform EV uptake, but this time we’ll tell you about our thrifty trip for a spot of weekend cottaging. Charlie, Max, Luke, and I, headed for the compound. We rotated between the Kia and Luke’s Dad’s MKII Jaguar, a real example of chalk and cheese.
