What’s New in the 2023 Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio “QV”

Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio “QV” start at $153,700 for the Giulia QV and $162,700 for the Stelvio QV.

The “QV” logo tops Alfa Romeo’s tree, and looks and feels properly Italian. In may ways, Alfa Romeo is a flagship brand for Stellantis and has been intentionally sidelined from any of the commonality other brands within the group are seeing.

We’ve loved every minute we spent on the road in our video road tests HERE and HERE

As well as the standard Quadrifoglio models, Alfa Romeo has Giulia and Stelvio QV 100o Anniversario editions that were created to celebrate 100 years of Quadrifoglio. Only 100 units per model have been crafted, and Australia has five Giulia QV 100o and three Stelvio QV 100o, all of which have already been sold. That is not surprising given the love that fans already have for the model.

Giulia and Stelvio QV have a hint of history while being modern and desirable, and deeply sexy.

The QV range has an all-new mechanical limited-slip differential, optimising torque transfer and increasing stability, agility, and cornering speed. It is said to make the QV range an even better drive than before.

With a 0 – 100km of 3.8 seconds (Stelvio QV) or 3.9 seconds (Giulia QV), the 2.9L V6 bi-turbo engine has 375kW/600Nm worth fabulous driving pleasure. The engine has Cylinders’ Efficient Management (CEM) to close off 3 cylinders when power isn’t needed.

Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio have an exclusive bumper design with bonnet inlets. Other Quadrifoglio touches include the use of carbon fibre parts, including driveshaft, with Giulia also having a carbon fibre bonnet, spoiler, and side skirts as well as an optional exposed carbon fibre roof for the ultimate sporty look and feel.

2023 Quadrifoglio gets a new black roof antenna, mirrors, grille, and wheels.

The 100o Anniversario edition adds gold brake calipers and new gold commemorative badges designed by the “Centro Stile Alfa Romeo”, with the with front V-bezel and mirror caps in visible carbon.

Inside:

The 100o Anniversario edition adds a cabin in black and Alcantara leather with gold stitching, and a special stitching of the number “100” next to a golden Quadrifoglio on the dashboard.

Local editions have an exposed carbon fibre roof on Giulia, and a panoramic sunroof on Stelvio with paint colours in Etna Red, Montreal Green and Vulcano Black. Montreal is a nod to the famous Alfa Romeo Montreal, still my personal favourite.

Technology:

QV models now have adaptive “3+3” full-LED Matrix headlights, with 15 different LED segments. The “U” shape headlights are a modern take on Alfa Romeo heritage, and include sophisticateFld technologies consisting of:

  • Adaptive Front Lighting System
  • Glare-Free High beam Segmented Technology
  • Welcome/Goodbye animations

The LED tail light clusters have been refreshed with a smoked glossy black finish, while Stelvio QV has new taillights with a transparent finish.

The dashboard now has a 12.3” TFT driver’s instrument cluster that has kept the historical “Cannocchiale” design. In addition to the three layouts available on the core model range (Evolved, Relax and Heritage), QV models also feature an exclusive “Race” configuration.

The “Race” layout keeps only the essential information every driver wants: tachometer, speedometer, and shift light for manual driving. The driver can add additional information in the sidebars, including snapshots of performance.

The new carbon fibre features on the dash, doors and centre console and is combined with the standard Alcantara steering wheel with red starter button.

Finally, there is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Wireless Charger, Dual Zone AC, and Heated and Electric Front Seats.
