Fernando Alonso Takes to the Streets of Monaco in His Custom Aston Martin Valkyrie
In a scene right out of a James Bond film, Aston Martin’s Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso cruised through the streets of Monaco in his brand-new Aston Martin Valkyrie, a hypercar that blends the best of F1 with street-legal style.
This isn’t just any Valkyrie, though. Alonso, ever the perfectionist, worked hand-in-hand with Aston Martin’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin, to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Painted in a sleek Satin Aston Martin Racing Green, the car is a tribute to his AMR24 race car, with striking AMR Satin Lime graphics accentuating its jaw-dropping aerodynamics. As Alonso powered the hypercar out of the iconic Monte Carlo Bay Hotel, it wasn’t hard to imagine onlookers stopping in their tracks, dazzled by the futuristic, F1-inspired design.

Beneath the stunning exterior, you’ll find exposed carbon fibre running through the roof, engine cover, and lower aero, with a Titanium Aston Martin Wings badge gracing the nose like a royal crown. And, in true Alonso style, the details are what truly make this car personal. The car’s bespoke “CAUTION HOT” graphic cheekily sits on the rear, while the headrests inside feature Alonso’s infamous logo embroidered in AMR Lime thread.
But it’s the smallest detail that may be the most personal: a red anodised aluminium accelerator pedal etched with the number “14,” a nod to the number Alonso chose at age 14 when he became karting world champion on July 14, 1996. Now, it’s forever engraved into his Valkyrie, a subtle tribute to a number that has been with him through his stellar career.
Inside, the cockpit is pure Formula 1 meets luxury, with exposed carbon fibre and Pure Black Alcantara, accented by AMR Lime stitching. It’s a cabin that screams performance and precision, designed to make even the briefest drive feel like a lap around Silverstone.
And speaking of performance—this Valkyrie isn’t just a show pony. With a hybrid 6.5-litre V12 powertrain cranking out an earth-shattering 1,155PS, it rockets from 0 to 60mph in under 2.5 seconds. If Alonso’s 32 Grand Prix wins aren’t enough, this beast of a machine ensures that even on the streets, he’ll be leaving the competition far behind.
“It’s hard to put into words how much I have been looking forward to this day,” Alonso said. “To sit at the wheel of my own Valkyrie; one that I have worked on designing so closely with the team at Q by Aston Martin is certainly a day to remember.”
Built by hand at Aston Martin’s UK headquarters, each Valkyrie takes over 2,000 hours to complete, with only 150 models being made. The hypercar is then track-tested at Silverstone before being released into the wild.
As Alonso zoomed through the luxurious streets of Monaco, the contrast couldn’t be clearer: this hypercar isn’t just a beautiful face, it’s a true F1 car for the road. Monaco may be known for its glitz and glamour, but today, it was all about speed, precision, and one man’s dream come true.
