Genesis has gone off-piste—literally—with the reveal of its GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV) Concept at the World Economic Forum 2025 in Davos, Switzerland. This Q Brand take on mountain rescue proves that luxury, sustainability, and rugged utility can share the same snow-covered path.

Unveiled at the AMERON Davos Swiss Mountain Resort, the GV60 MIV has been turning heads since January 20, showcasing Genesis’ flair for bold design and cutting-edge technology. This marks the brand’s third consecutive concept debut at Davos, following its Genesis X Concept in 2023 and X Speedium Concept last year. Clearly, Genesis knows how to make an entrance—and this time, it comes equipped with snow tracks.

Built on the all-electric Genesis GV60 platform, the MIV Concept is no ordinary luxury SUV. It’s a purpose-built rescue vehicle, ready to tackle rugged terrain and extreme conditions with silent, electric efficiency. Designed for minimal environmental impact, the MIV features a vehicle-to-load (V2L) system to power auxiliary equipment—perfect for charging gear or even lighting up the Alps.

The design is as audacious as the mission. The GV60 MIV sports carbon fibre fender flares, heavy-duty roof racks, and modular rear attachments for all manner of rescue equipment. Inside, it’s a high-tech sanctuary, kitted out with sports seats, medical supplies, and emergency communication systems. Snow-covered cliffs? No problem. Stylish arrival? Always.

Luc Donckerwolke, Genesis’ Chief Creative Officer, summed it up best: “The GV60 MIV Concept expands our vision of comfort and care, combining safety and design in a uniquely Korean way.”

For Genesis, Davos isn’t just about showcasing innovation—it’s about creating vehicles that drive change. And with the GV60 MIV Concept, they’ve crafted a luxury EV that’s as at home on a mountain rescue mission as it is making a statement in a Swiss resort carpark.

Saving lives has never looked this fabulous.
