Londoners are about to get a taste of high-end luxury with a sustainable twist, as Uber partners with Lotus to bring the ultra-luxurious Lotus Eletre Hyper-SUV to the Uber Green fleet. From October until the end of November, Uber riders can experience the thrill of this all-electric hyper-SUV while contributing to a cleaner, greener London. Just when you thought your Uber ride couldn’t get any fancier, Lotus delivers an SUV that combines electric efficiency with serious style.
For a limited time, passengers can book these cutting-edge vehicles via the Uber app’s Green option and ride in eco-friendly elegance. As part of Uber’s commitment to reducing emissions, 30% of all London Uber miles are now electric, making the city the global capital of Uber’s electrification efforts.

“We’re thrilled to team up with Lotus to combine cutting-edge luxury with sustainable travel,” said Andrew Brem, General Manager for Uber UK. “Uber drivers are already leading the way, going electric far quicker than regular motorists – making London Uber’s global capital for electrification. Now we’re excited to allow our riders to experience one of the world’s most exciting electric cars.”
The Lotus Eletre is not your everyday EV. It’s the brand’s first all-electric hyper-SUV, blending jaw-dropping aerodynamics, premium materials, and true Lotus performance. This isn’t just about getting from A to B—this is about arriving in style, and saving the planet while you’re at it. Lotus’ Commercial Director for UK and Ireland, Conor Horne, was eager to highlight the vehicle’s appeal. “We are incredibly excited to partner with Uber to have a fleet of our all-electric Lotus Eletre available in London via the app for passengers to experience and enjoy. We hope this initiative will not only enhance the riding experience for Uber customers but also contribute to a greener city, something we at Lotus are very passionate about.”
It’s not just riders who benefit either. Uber drivers taking Uber Green trips are earning 10% more compared to regular UberX fares—a nice bonus for making the eco-friendly switch. And with the competition Uber’s launched, where the rider who saves the most emissions by the end of November wins free Uber Green rides for a decade, there’s more incentive than ever to go electric.
To top it off, the cars will be licensed and managed by Otto Cars, London’s largest private hire provider. Otto Cars CEO, Gurinder Dhillon, summed it up perfectly: “Let’s prove that a sustainable ride can be a thrilling experience, without the smoke.”
So, hop into a Lotus Eletre this spring, darling. It’s a guilt-free luxury experience that’s as green as your conscience.
