The newly launched Maserati GranTurismo can now be seen at dealerships in Australia and New Zealand, ushering in a new era that traces its roots back 77 years to the Maserati A6 1500.
Combining the high-performance features of a sports car with the long-distance comfort of a grand tourer, the GranTurismo launched with internal combustion engines and, starting in Q1 2025, is joined by a 100% electric version. For lovers of Italian design, the GranTurismo strikes a gracefully arty balance of elegance and practicality, its distinctive, easily identifiable lines are 100% Maserati.
Conceived at the Maserati Innovation Lab and manufactured at the Mirafiori production centre in Turin, the GranTurismo is the poster child of Italian luxury performance, entirely fabricated in Italy. The new coupe integrates the V6 Nettuno engine, available in two variations: the Modena, featuring the 490hp 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo, and the high-performance Trofeo version, an enhanced iteration boasting a maximum power output of 550hp. The Maserati V8 is dead with the last of the axing of the last two models to use one.

GranTurismo Folgore is 100% electric and has 800-volt technology developed using cutting-edge technical solutions from Formula E. It delivers stunning performance through three potent 300kW permanent magnet motors.
Also appearing at local dealerships is the unique Maserati GranTurismo PrimaSerie 75th anniversary edition. PrimaSerie is based on the Trofeo variant and was developed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the GranTurismo. It is uniquely defined by its unique Grigio Lamiera Matte or Nero Cometa colours, with red and green logos and detailing, respectively.
Only 9 of these unique models come downunder.
“With the arrival of the GranTurismo, new GranCabrio due in local showrooms this September, and upcoming deliveries of the exclusive MCXtrema, these are undoubtedly exciting times for Maserati,” says Grant Barling, General Manager of Maserati Australia and New Zealand.
“July saw 46 customer deliveries across the network – an increase of 15% over June – and one of our strongest July order banks to kick off the new financial year. As the recent statement from the Stellantis Group indicated, there is an unwavering commitment to Maserati’s mission to write the future of performance and luxury, and it’s a commitment wholeheartedly matched by Maserati Australia and New Zealand.”
