Renault Celebrates National French Bread Day with Free Baguettes and Condiment Claire

Hold my baguette. Renault is marking National French Bread Day on March 21 with a giveaway at its Battersea Power Station store, curated by TikTok sensation Condiment Claire.

What’s Happening?

Visitors to Renault’s flagship rnlt store at Battersea Power Station on Saturday March 21 can receive a free signature baguette sandwich from Condiment Claire, subject to availability. Claire will be in store from 11am to 3pm to meet fans and personally dish out the sandwiches.

The event celebrates Renault’s in-car baguette holder, an accessory available on the Renault 4 E-Tech electric and Renault 5 E-Tech electric. Yes, this is a real thing.

Who is Condiment Claire?

Claire Dinhut, known as Condiment Claire, has amassed more than one million followers on TikTok and Instagram. The French-American food author and TV personality is famous for celebrating the baguette, particularly the classic “jambon beurre” and “jambon fromage” sandwiches that will be available at the event.

Her recent appearances include Saturday Kitchen, and she authored the best-selling book The Condiment Book.

The Baguette Holder Thing

“When Renault announced you could buy a wicker baguette holder for the Renault 4, I was instantly hooked,” said Claire. “We French adore baguettes, and believe me, there are rules not only on how to eat one but also how to properly transport one from the boulangerie to your plate.”

The baguette holder accessory has become something of a cult item for the Renault 4 and Renault 5, encapsulating the fun, retro-futuristic character that’s made both cars critical hits.

Additional Perks

Anyone who books a test drive of a baguette holder-equipped R4 gets additional Renault and Condiment Claire giveaways plus photo opportunities. You’ll need to book in advance via Renault’s website.

Australian Relevance

While this event is UK-only, the Renault 5 E-Tech is expected in Australia later in 2026, presumably with baguette holder available. We can but hope.
