Hyundai to Launch 18 Models in 18 Months

COVID hasn’t slowed Hyundai, with a plan for 18 model launches in 18 months.

Some brands have had no end of diabolicals with supply of cars, and car parts being hindered by socially distancing factory preparations. Hyundai’s computer says, “YYYYEEEEESSSS.”

Santa Fe is currently in surgery, to get out of recovery in December.

December is also the current aim for the huge Palisade. It may appear slightly imperious, but it commands respect, and gets it. This hefty SUV is pure America. It may as well have a big Star-Spangled Banner painted down the side. FYI, we like this a lot.

Big news for the posh sister, Genesis is the Genesis G80 and GV80. This sedan and SUV duo launch locally in the next 2 weeks.

Genesis has had a bit of a slow start, but if our previous drives are anything to go by, Genesis are every bit as worthy as the Japanese Uber Cruiser, LEXUS. Can it compete with the massive ad budget of BMW, Mercedes and Audi? Is Genesis as laudable as Jaguar? Will buyers put their bucks on the bench for a Korean Luxury car?

They should, but it is a hurdle that took LEXUS 20 years to jump.

Hyundai’s conga line is exciting, and opens a huge market for a brand already climbing the OZ Top Ten charts.
