Before the full review struts onto the stage, let me serve you this sassy starter — the 2025 Toyota Tundra Limited, a glorious gala of grunt, glamour, and gratuitous grandeur. This isn’t just a ute — it’s a rolling runway show, a mobile Mardi Gras float, and a muscle car in an XXL frock, all rolled into one.
Now, Toyota’s been a tad cheeky with the left-to-right-hand-drive conversion. The master unlock is still on the passenger side (how very dare you), climate controls play favourites with the “Yankee” seat, and CarPlay buttons are placed so far from the driver you could Uber Eats a latte on the way to press them. Worse still, our iPhone 16 Pro Max acted like an unreliable ex — dropping both WiFi and Bluetooth mid-song. Devastating, because JBL’s speakers otherwise deliver audio so divine it could make Kylie blush.
And the looks? Tundra owns every lane it lumbers into. That mammoth grille — part cattle station, part couture — is flanked by LEDs brighter than a small sun. Square-shouldered flares hug those meaty multi-terrain tyres, while the powered tailgate and full-drop rear window scream “look at me” in capital letters.

Inside is a plush palace of power. The massive heated/cooled seats cuddle you like a burly bouncer, the storage is Titanic-sized, and the 4×4 controls sit neatly and discreetly — easy to reach without needing a postcode to find them. But… at $164,845 drive-away ($182,355 for the Platinum), the absence of rain-sensing wipers, massage seats, or even DAB+ radio is pure pantomime villainy. Yes, there’s a powered fuel-filler lid — but I’d swap that for a pair of self-wiping wipers in a heartbeat.
The cabin’s atmosphere is one of comfort, confidence, and colossal character.
You get a 14” centre screen, 12.3” driver display, and a 10.9” head up display. You sink into those comfy thrones, gaze across a dashboard wide enough to land a Cessna, and realise you’re piloting not just a ute, but a personality. It’s a space that whispers luxury while winking at lunacy — big, bold, and brimming with bravado.

Under the bonnet, the performance is positively pant-splitting. The 3.5L twin-turbo V6 and its electric sidekick combine for 326kW and 790Nm — enough torque to tow 4,500kg of horse, house, or happiness. The 10-speed auto glides like silk, the electric steering is light as a feather boa, and the rasp from the exhaust is pure bedroom voice. There are a comforting number of driver and safety aids too, and none of them slap you upside the head.
Fuel use? 12L/100km. Considering the monumental drama delivered, that’s practically sipping.
But here’s the gossip — Aussies haven’t exactly swarmed the Tundra. Only 490 sold to July 2025, compared to 2,099 Silverados, 1,983 Rams, and 542 F-150s. Which means this brawny, boisterous, bloody brilliant beast is still the fabulous outsider in the ute talent show.
And let’s talk gargantuan geometry, shall we? At 5,955mm long, 1,985mm tall, with a 3,700mm wheelbase, this towering titan treads the tarmac like it with the lightness of an armed garrison. Ground clearance sits at a surprisingly modest 216mm, and the sheer length and wheelbase make city parking a careful choreography. Off-road, though, the big beast bounces over bumps like a burly ballerina — bold, brash, and beautifully balanced.
Stay tuned, sweet cheeks — the full review will have more sass, stats, and side-eye than a Below Deck reunion special.
