Crazy New Mercedes Benz Technology at CES Las Vegas

Once upon a time, if you wanted to see what would be in a car in ten years time, you needed to look inside a Mercedes Benz S-Class. Now, you need to go to CES instead. CES seems to bring out the whackiest of the whacky, but the car makers seem hell-bent on making cars so complex that future owners will need a degree to work them. As each year passes, the technology becomes more and more implausible yet some of it still make it into mass production.

CES 2024 sees Mercedes-Benz with a digital future full of advancements they say will transform the customer experience, in-car and out. The new MBUX Virtual Assistant combines a generative AI with advanced 3D graphics. We’ve been promised natural voice control for a very long time, usually ending in the disappointment of reaching for a control. Mercedes-Benz says the new system is natural, intuitive and personalised, and runs on the all-new in-house Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS).
