Genesis Motors Australia has opened a second flagship Studio, at the Emporium Melbourne in Melbourne’s vibrant CBD. It comes after the success Sydney Pitt Street Mall studio.
The swish new studio uses a minimalist Korean aesthetic philosophy of the “Beauty of White Space”. The area is defined by18-metre floor to ceiling LED backdrop, floor to ceiling dark wood panelling and burnished concrete interior finishes. There is more than a little “Apple Store” about this retail space.
The studio uses light, movement and graphic art that reflects onto the rather gorgeous Genesis sedans and SUVs. A full compliment of Genies vehicles are on show including: GV80, G70, and G80. Folow the links for our reviews, including the Genesis parking with no driver on board. We particularly loved the GV80.
The all-new GV70 mid-size SUV coming later in the month has also been on display at both Studios.

ABOVE: 2021 Genesis – New Melbourne Studio
“The new flagship Melbourne Studio showcases the latest Genesis luxury models in an artistic environment, whilst providing an exceptional customer experience, which is at the core of the Genesis Brand’s philosophy,” Jun Heo, CEO Genesis Motors Australia said.
“Like our vehicles, the Studio’s progressive design evokes the distinctly Korean aesthetic philosophy ‘Beauty of White Space’. We cordially welcome all Melbournians to visit the studio and experience our unique luxury perspective for themselves.”
Genesis is opening two metro Test Drive Centres too. One will be in Brisbane and the other on the Gold Coast, late in 2021, and a full Studio in Brisbane in 2022.
Genesis cites the success of the Parramatta Test Drive Centre which has since moved to a larger space at 87 Church Street. It gives buyers the option of testing where they live and work, as well as being adjacent to luxury competitors.
The new way of selling cars brings test drives and browsing to the buyer rather than the other way round. Buyers may also go online, or through our Genesis-To-You concierge service, or in CBD Studios and metro Test Drive Centres.
Jun Heo: “Genesis is focused on sustainable sales growth. We are building momentum locally with an expanding retail presence and exciting new models are on the horizon.”
“With the imminent introduction of our second SUV, GV70, and electric vehicles arriving next year, we expect to see a gradual increase in sales in the second half of 2021 and beyond.”
“Genesis will be driven by great product and customer experience. Our new Melbourne studio encapsulates this philosophy in one place.”
Next year Genesis will bring Australia an electric range, with three pure-electric vehicles launching locally early in 2022.
In a brave move, Genesis Australia provides a full 5 year experience from browse and buy, to own and service. This all-inclusive ownership experience runs for five years.
Genesis has been constantly ranked the top premium brand for four consecutive years in the renowned J.D. Power 2020 U.S. J.D. Power gathers owner’s comments and thoughts to provide a comprehensive rating to guide future buyer’s considerations.
