Lexus LM Luxury Includes 48” TV, Fridge, and “Thrones”

Lexus revealed the super-luxury transporter earlier in the year, and since then ahs confirmed the rollout to 60 countries, including Australia. They claim there is nothing else like it on the market, and with the range topping LM 500h costing $220,888, it would want to be the ultimate.

At heart, Lexus LM is a van. It has space for 7 in the LM350h which comes in 2 or AWD. All Lexus LM will come as hybrids, with the LM 350h having a 2.5L 184kw/270Nm system and the LM 500h, a 2.4 turbo hybrid pushing 200kw to all 4 wheels.

We’ve used the Lexus climate Concierge before, and loved it. The LM 500h has the system fitted to the rear, and will give those in the twin “throne seats” the full first class travel experience. The rear travelers are able to raise a screen, leaving the front section isolated.

The LEXUS LM has a world-first 48” TV has 23 Mark Levinson speakers, and the seats are akin to a business jet. Although there is much reclining to be had, passengers have to stay more or less upright during travel for the seatbelts to be effective. There is a drinks cooler for the trips

“With the LM our designers have taken omotenashi thoughtfulness and Takumi craftsmanship to unprecedented levels,” Mr Pappas said.

“There is no Lexus like it, and almost certainly no other vehicle like it. It is the ultimate expression of Lexus ‘making luxury personal.’

“It is a great Lexus to drive but an even better Lexus to be driven in. It will be hard to surpass the LM for the ultimate chauffeur-driven experience.”

Mr Papas went on to say, “The reality is that demand will initially exceed supply for this vehicle by a significant margin, so we therefore need to manage customer expectations.”

An Lexus LM fleet will ferry Lexus customers and guests attending Melbourne’s week of fashion in early November. The event surrounds the Lexus Melbourne Cup, and the chauffeur-driven LMs will be heading to and from the Flemington track from November 4th to 11th.
