Michael Clarke AO New Genesis Ambassador

Genesis Motors Australia today announced the appointment of cricketing legend Michael Clarke AO as the brand’s new Australian ambassador. Michael will help launch the brand’s first SUV, the exciting all-new Genesis GV80, set to debut in Australia this week.

As a father, the GV80’s state-of-the-art safety and technology was also appealing. “I’m honoured to be the Australian ambassador for Genesis Motors,” said Michael. “And I’m excited to be driving the Genesis GV80, a new breed of luxury SUV. It’s certainly a game changer. To the eye, the car is beautifully designed – and inside, the technology and features are amazing.”

The 43^rd test captain of Australia, Michael Clarke is widely known as one of the best batsmen of all time. He dominated the cricket world from his international debut in 2003, and was named Australian test captain in 2011. In less than 18 months, he took the team from number five in the world to number one.

Michael has received the Allan Border medal on four occasions and in 2020 was awarded Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List for his outstanding contribution to international cricket, the community and to charity. The Genesis GV80 debuts in Australia on Thursday, 29 October via virtual launch, during which Michael will make his first official appearance for the brand.
