Peugeot’s small Australian range is to be boosted by the arrival of the e-3008 small electric SUV soon, and the e-308, and e-208 later in 2024.

The e-3008 joins the e-Partner van and e-2008 SUV that have been in the showrooms for a short while. E-3008 is already on sale in the UK and can be seen HERE.

Peugeot is asking punters to register interest now, but there are few details to go on. There is a new i-Cockpit, a new look, and a new STLA Stellantis platform. The union of Peugeot Citroen and Fiat Chrysler is starting to bring forth fruit. Stellantis is one of the biggest car makers in the world so will be using more commonality among brands to reduce costs.

Overseas models have long range of 326miles, around 526km. The 210hp (155kw) e-3008 charges up to 62 miles in 10 minutes with the 400v architecture allowing a maximum charging of 160kw. It will charge the 73kw (useable) battery in to 80% 30 minutes.

The look is stunning, as all new generations Peugeots are. E-3008 is leaning towards a coupe-SUV style. The interior follows in the footsteps of later generations such as the 308, but the new STLA electric platform give more scope for economies space. More of the cabin is given over to passengers and luggage.  The curved display looks expansive with plenty of data laid out in an easy to consume way.

VTL is supported, allowing the car to run appliances via a household type socket. VTL has output limits, but could be used in emergencies situations as a power source.

Peugeot sales are up this year. The first 2 months yielded 353 units, up from 226 vehicles the first 2 months of 2023 might well be the tonic that the company needs. Sales are still bijou, and the biggest seller is the Partner van.
