Jaguar Land Rover is working with ECONYL® nylon to develop high-quality interiors made from ocean and landfill waste. Next-generation Jaguar and Land Rover models will feature floor mats and trims made with ECONYL® fibre from recycled industrial plastic, fabric offcuts from clothing manufacturers, fishing nets from the farming industry, and those abandoned in the ocean– known as ‘ghost nets’.
Jaguar Classic will create six matched pairs of E-type cars to celebrate the iconic sports car’s 60th anniversary in 2021: the E-type 60 Collection. Each pair of E-type 60 Edition cars pay tribute to two of the oldest and most famous Jaguar E-type sports cars: ‘9600 HP’ and ‘77 RW’, which played pivotal roles in the unveiling of the car at its world debut in Geneva, Switzerland in March 1961.

A very exciting Jaguar E-Type is to be offered for sale at the forthcoming Silverstone Classic Live Online Auction from the highly desirable collection of TV actor and comedian Steve Coogan. The Jaguar E-Type needs no introduction, but this particular car is very special indeed. It is one of the first 92 right-hand drives cars produced and one of the 56 used by the dealers as demonstration cars. This E-Type was the first one that went to Scotland in July 1961, to Jaguar Edinburgh. The dealers were forbidden to sell these cars until the September.
