Why GoPro?

In my case, GoPro was a familiar name. I’m not very bright and respond well to mass advertising. Gay Car reviews are a newish thing, and of course we want the best quality we can get. the gays love a brand right!

I’ve used GoPro since being given a Sessions several years ago. We weren’t doing films then, so a small camera was really just a novelty. Then, I started to have fun, but only of the wholesome kind, of course.

Are GoPro accessories worth the money?

That’s a good question. They are stupidly expensive.

The Swivel Mount is $34.95. How can a ball joint and buckle attachment be worth that kind of cash? To make matters even worse, for smaller orders, the postage costs are humongous. This $34.95 mount adds a further $34 in postage.

My GoPro Ball mount broke

Have a look at the pics.

While removing the ball mount from the suction cup, the plastic arm broke off on one side. While the plastic appears to be of decent quality, it is designed to be compressed in order to unlock. On this occasion, it just kept compressing until it broke.

Is this a design flaw?

Can you get GoPro accessories in shops?

Yes.

I now own 4 GoPro cameras, and a bag full of bits. The GoPro 4 stopped working and was retired. The Sessions fell off a car, 1 GoPro Hero 7 was lost or stolen. The current line-up is a Hero 6 Black, 2xHero 7 Black, and a Hero 8 black. The Hero 6 sees little use.

Accessories gathered along the include many useless arms, buckle extensions, and screw bolts. Like most things in life, you find what you like and stick with it.

I got my gear from Camzilla in Sydney. They’ve also got an online shop with shipping.

What GoPro Accessories do I use?

When I got the cameras, I set them to 1080p Linear and left them at that. The same goes for mounts. 3 cameras are in use with 3 suction mounts and ball joints. I have zero imagination.

The chest mount, cap mount and various other mounts are never used.

In addition, the tripod and selfie stick get almost no use ever.

What do I use the GoPro Cameras for?

See our youtube channel for video reviews. In most of them you will see the cameras clinging to the glass. Occasionally one will be seen on the outside of the car for action shots.
