In the box : the GKU D100 comes with 12v lead, rear camera and lead, 1080p front camera, 3M sticker and screws (for internal or external rear camera mount) suction cup, and crowbar tool.
This entry level camera system is easily installed in half an hour, with almost all of the time being for the rear camera (if mounted on the rear window)
The Amazon product page (link here https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09WZT5J48 ) listed features as
- Dual 1080P full HD dash cam, 170-degree wide-angle.
- Equipped with starvis sensor, advanced video, and night vision technology, D100 offers you a crisp visual experience.
- Sensitive Parking Monitor
- Reverse Function
- Loop Recording & Motion Detection
We found delivery fast and the box and cameras arrived in good condition.
The package doesn’t include a micro SD card. A compatible card has to be formatted in FAT32 prior to use. Otherwise, the unit worked out of the box. For our test, we mounted both cameras to the windscreen to compare quality.
The front camera is installed via the suction cup and gives a reasonable amount of adjustment. The rear camera is mounted inside with the 3M tape, or on the rear of the car with screws ( if the reversing camera option is required). There is a parking monitor option, which requires additional equipment (battery pack etc) and would be better installed professionally unless you’re good with your hands.

Although the site claims 1080p resolution, the rear camera was be 720p. If there were settings required to change the resolution of the rear camera, it was not specified in the user guide, or the manufacturer’s website.
Changes from light to dark we handled well by the front camera. Check the video for video quality of the front VS rear cameras.
Both cameras are stored in a single folder on the SD card and are overwritten unless protect manually (using the protect button) or by a shock sensed by the on-board shock detector. Recording loops are 1 minute, but can be extended to 3 minutes. It is important to keep data by protecting it when an incident occurs as you may want it for insurance, or in court. If picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million words.
We found the rear camera was flipped so for our video review, it required editing to mirror the image. We followed mounting and use instructions, but as we said, the user guide is far too brief.
Price: $89.99
What we loved:
Easy to set up, but you must remember to format the micro SD first.
Nice looking camera.
Worked out of the box
Waterproof rear camera also can be mounted as reversing camera on the rear of the car.
Handy tool for pulling back trim to mount cables.
Price ($79.99)
Not so much:
User guide too brief
Rear camera video quality not as good as the front camera
Menu system not as intuitive as some we’ve tested.
Conclusion:
Although the rear camera quality wasn’t as good as we’d like, the GKU D100 is brilliantly priced. The menu might take a bit of getting used to, but the fact that the rear camera will double as a reversing camera is a nice touch.
