VW Tiguan Gets Wolfsburg Makeover

Volkswagen Australia’s limited run Wolfsburg Editions are coveted by the brand’s devotees. Now, for the first time, its seven seat SUV gets the special treatment.

Available from June, the Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg Edition (like the rapidly sold out normal wheelbase Tiguan Wolfsburg before it) is resplendent in signature black styling, unique badging and a range of standard convenience and infotainment technology.

Power comes from the Golf GTI-derived EA888 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine with 162kW and 350Nm, mated to a seven-speed DSG and 4MOTION all-wheel drive. This combination accelerates the Allspace Wolfsburg Edition to 100km/h in 6.8 seconds and achieves a combined fuel consumption of 9.0 litres per 100km.

Signature Wolfsburg Edition features include black mirrors, roof rails, window surrounds, lower trim strips and front lower grille details. Completing the noir look, the Wolfsburg also comes standard with 90 per cent light absorbing dark window tint, and 20-inch Suzuka alloy wheels in gloss black.

At the rear a newly-designed colour variant of the signature Wolfsburg crest, a nod to Volkswagen’s home and global headquarters, stands out.

Wolfsburg Edition Allspaces are available in a choice of standard Pure White, the metallic Pyrite Silver and Platinum Grey, or pearl effect Deep Black.

Within the Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg Edition adopts the R-Line package with digital instrument cluster, Dynaudio premium sound system, area view parking navigation and – unique to this Allspace variant – head-up display.

The Tiguan Allspace Wolfsburg Edition is available to order now online and from Volkswagen dealerships ahead of its June arrival.

It is preceded in May by the Tiguan Allspace 132TSI 4MOTION, which returns to showrooms after extended unavailability due to supply constraints.

All new Volkswagens have a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty, capped-price servicing every calendar year with the option to pre-purchase three and five-year service packs.

In addition, it can also be purchased with the Volkswagen Choice guaranteed future value program, offered by Volkswagen Financial Services.
