What’s New in the 2025 Hyundai i20 N?

The most compact member of Hyundai’s family of N performance models has returned for 2025, proving good things still come in small packages, featuring new technology and styling enhancements while retaining its proven turbocharged powertrain and driver-focused dynamics.

A direct descendant of Hyundai’s rally-winning i20 Coupe WRC, the 2025 i20 N’s head-turning looks are now even more aggressive thanks to a redesigned front bumper and a new-look front grille, with the latter introducing a striking new mesh pattern that delivers even more stand-out appeal.

New Hyundai badging now adopts a modern matte black finish that blends seamlessly into the rear tailgate, while a large flat-style ‘H’ sits in the centre of the revised front grille.

Fresh 18-inch forged alloy wheels complete the new look and feature an elegant Y-spoke design with a machined silver finish, through which the flash of the N Division’s signature Dynamic Tomato Red colour is clearly visible on the large performance brake calipers.

The 2025 i20 N’s reputation as the ultimate corner rascal remains unchanged, with its light kerb weight, mechanical front differential and standard six-speed manual gearbox combining to deliver unrivalled, driver-focused thrills.

Hyundai’s high-performance 1.6-litre turbo engine returns, providing a punchy 150kW @ 5500-6000rpm and 275Nm across a wide 1750-4500rpm, with 304Nm available from 2000-4000rpm on overboost, while the large single exhaust delivers an aggressive soundtrack that reflects the i20 N’s motorsport-derived DNA.

“The updated 2025 Hyundai i20 N is proof that some of the greatest things come in small packages,” Hyundai Motor Company Australia Chief Executive Officer, Ted Lee said.

“Sometimes a performance car’s recipe is so good that only small tweaks are required, and by boosting the i20 N’s technology and styling, Hyundai has elevated an outstanding and accessible performance package to another level.”
