Toyota’s smallest hatch, the Yaris, is in the same segment as Madza2, KIA Rio, and Honda Jazz. New Yaris is 5mm shorter than the outgoing model. It is also 5mm lower, but has a longer wheelbase. Rear seats are lowered slightly, which Toyota says adds to a greater feeling of space.
VW T-Cross hits the compact segment of the market with a bang. It sets a high bar, and may well find itself a market leader among the young, hip, and happening, crowd. Nissan’s first attempt to be young and hip, was more nerdy and awkward, and frankly, just awful. The new Juke fixed all that. Meanwhile C-HR steamed ahead. Last month, Nissan sold 157 jukes, and Toyota shifted 1199 C-HRs for the same period.
