Right-Hand-Drive 2025 GMC Yukon Snapped on Australian Roads
GMSV revealed more images of the right-hand drive 2025 GMC Yukon on the road right here in Australia. Teaser images were released in the US only a few days ago in the left-hand-drive version, but Australian models need a little extra lovin’.
As seen across the auto industry generally, buyers are deserting the passenger car market as if they were running from a plague. Passenger cars now represent a piffling 17% of the total market. There are very few SUVs and LCVs of this size in Australia but those that are available are snapped up as fast as they can be imported. Yukons headed for Australia arrive at the facility to be “remanufactured”. In other words, the RHD conversion happens in Australia rather than coming from the GMC factory
“The GMC Yukon has been at Premoso for a few months as we start gearing up the remanufacturing process,” said Jess Bala, Managing Director, GM Australia & New Zealand.
“It’s exciting that another vehicle is joining the GMSV line-up – one that features a full complement of eight-seats and offers great towing capability.

“Vehicle development post-remanufacturing is progressing extremely well and we’re on track to deliver the new model to customers in first-half of 2025.” After the conversion takes place, the RHD Yukon is then tested to ensure it is every bit as Yukon as the original.
As we revealed in November, GMSV GMC Yukon Denali will be the only version of the full-size SUV that will be available at dealerships in Australia and New Zealand.
“Now that the camouflage has come off, we’ll be able to embark on more extensive on-road, local right-hand-drive development and testing,” said Ms. Bala. “The team at Premoso are doing an excellent job and the right-hand-drive remanufacture process is well on track. We look forward to getting customers into this premium product brought to you by GMSV.”
