Kia has unveiled the upgraded Model Year 2025 Kia EV6. With minor styling tweaks, smarter technology, and an even bigger battery, the revamped EV6 offers more as EV competition ramps up in the marketplace. Tennis fans at the Australian Open use EV6’s clever Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature powering free phone-charging lockers.

“The original EV6 was a game-changer for Kia in Australia upon its introduction in 2022,” said Damien Meredith, Kia Australia’s Chief Executive Officer. “The new features and updated styling of the upgraded EV6 really take the game forward yet again.”

New Styling and More Tech

The 2025 EV6 continues Kia’s tradition interesting design. EV6’s front end has never really suited it, but now features the brand’s “Star Map” lighting signature. Its new headlights and DRLs bring a high-tech edge, while sharper lines on the bumper and bonnet add drama. Out back, 3D taillights echo the Star Map aesthetic, tying the design together. The EV6 is 15mm increase longer, with fresh wheel designs ranging from 19-inch to 21-inch options.

The interior has design cues from the flagship EV9 to refine the EV6’s cabin. A dual 12.3-inch display combines the instrument cluster and infotainment screen in a sweeping horizontal layout, delivering a wide, open feel. Premium trims also add fingerprint recognition technology, making starting the car or recalling individual settings a simpler process. A revamped centre console refreshes the interior.

Kia has listened to customer feedback, adding wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across the range. The 2025 EV6 also debuts Kia Connect, a smart connected car service offering features like remote start, real-time traffic updates, and Over-the-Air (OTA) updates. With these updates, Kia ensures drivers always have the latest software without the hassle of visiting a dealership.

More Juice, Smoother Moves

Under the floor—the 2025 EV6 has been upgraded with a larger 84kWh battery pack, up from 77.4kWh in the outgoing model. This means more range, ensuring fewer charging stops on road trips or long commutes.

Performance tweaks make an already confident drive even better. The sporty GT variant, in particular, benefits from stiffer rear sway bars and softer front springs, creating a better balance for sharper handling and a smoother ride. Kia Australia has further fine-tuned the suspension and steering to suit local conditions, enhancing confidence on rough roads and delivering a natural steering feel with improved cornering accuracy. Whether navigating city streets or carving up a country road, the EV6 promises a refined and engaging drive.

Electrifying Arrival

EV6 looks different from the rest of the KIA EV range, and the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift keeps that look sharp. Blending sharp design updates, smarter tech, and improved performance, EV6 remains the sporty figurehead for the brand, and is set to hit Australian showrooms in Q2.
