Through 2026, Honda said demand was strong and stock was tight. From the 1st of November, Honda is offering 5 free services and an eGift card worth up to $3,000 to buyers of 2026-build cars, under a campaign it calls Honda Plate Clearance.
Sales records show Honda’s sales are steady, not falling. A carmaker short of stock has no need to pay buyers to take its cars, and a campaign this size points to more 2026 stock on hand than Honda’s previous revelations had us believe.
Contracts signed from the 1st of November 2026 to the 31st of January 2027 qualify. Purchase and delivery both have to happen inside that window, at a participating Honda Centre. The offer covers 2026-build hybrid and petrol stock of the ZR-V, HR-V, CR-V, Civic, and Accord. Pricing is fixed under Honda’s One Price Promise, and Honda owns the stock, so the cards and the servicing come out of Honda’s pocket, not a dealer’s.
Civic Type R misses out on Honda Plate Clearance. So do MY27 Civic and MY27 Prelude stock, Honda Super-ONE, and demo cars. A 2026-build Prelude gets a gift card but isn’t on the free servicing list.
5 Free Services After a 40% Price Rise
The deal pays for the first 5 scheduled services. Each one covers only the items listed for that time or kilometre interval in the Owner’s Warranty and Service Manual, and extra maintenance isn’t included.
On the 1st of October, Honda lifted each Low Price Service from $199 to $279, a 40% rise, taking 5 services from $995 to $1,395. Buyers who signed before October kept the old price. At the new rate, the free services are worth $1,395, and $400 of that is the rise Honda added a month earlier.

The Road Ahead Guarantee still applies. That’s a 5-year unlimited-kilometre warranty and 5 years of premium roadside assist, and both stretch to 8 years if servicing is done at a Honda Centre.
“We take pride in delivering an ownership experience that is every bit as rewarding as the vehicles we build,” said Nick Parkington, Honda’s General Manager of Automotive.
“Whether customers are considering the versatile HR-V, the stylish Honda ZR-V, the family-focused CR-V or the acclaimed Civic hybrid, this offer makes it even easier to get behind the wheel of one of our vehicles while enjoying the confidence and peace of mind that comes with five free scheduled services,” Parkington said.
Honda Plate Clearance Cards and the Finance Catch
The eGift card is available while stocks last, and it’s sent within 30 days of delivery, and can’t be swapped for cash. Every grade of the CR-V e:HEV, which we found posh and smooth on test, gets more than the entry card.
Finance is where it bites. Sign up for any Honda Financial Services finance offer and the card is gone. Honda can extend or modify the offer without notice.

Honda Clears Stock as Chinese Brands Grow
Sales reports and news coverage around the world show legacy brands losing sales to newer Chinese rivals, and the numbers here mirror the trend. In the first 9 months of 2026, sales of China-built cars rose 72.8% to 281,359, while Japan-built cars fell 19.9% to 218,747. In our July sales story, every Japanese brand except Honda went backwards.
New Chinese brands keep coming. In the past few weeks alone, Changan took Deepal back in-house, Chery revealed the Tiggo X7, and the GAC Aion V Luxury showed legacy brands how to make cars.
Honda’s one recent sell-out was the Super-ONE, its first battery electric car. Its whole 2026 allocation went within hours, but that allocation was 130 cars. GAC sold 148 Aion UTs in July alone, the month before Super-ONE orders opened.
The Aion UT costs $4,910 less than a Super-ONE, seats 5 and has more than double the power. The Geely EX2 also seats 5, from $26,490 plus on-roads. Selling out 130 cars says more about how few Honda shipped than how many people wanted one.
