Audi’s new SQ7 and SQ8 have more power than before, powered for first time by a TFSI engine, “The SQ7 and SQ8 TFSI represent a unique combination of sportscar performance in a full-sized, luxury SUV that has always struck a chord with Australian customers,” says Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia.

“The fact that large, luxury SUVs are capable of delivering this level of performance and handling is testament to Audi’s engineering prowess, and the level of appointment and finish mean that they deliver on all fronts.”

4.0 TFSI bi-turbo V8
The new SQ7 and SQ8 get their poke from the twin turbo 4.0 TFSI V8. The 373kW/770Nm units gets the big SUVs from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, and promises 12.2 L/100kmon the SQ8. Cylinder on Demand (CoD) will shut down four of the eight cylinders to meter out fuel more frugally when brute force isn’t required.

SQ7 and SQ8 have dynamic all-wheel steering and adaptive air suspension sport as standard, but the Dynamic Package adds a quattro sport differential and electromechanical active roll stabilisation. Audi claims the technology creates extraordinary body control considering the size of the SUV.
