Polestar 2 is a Favourite Gay EV Here’s Why

The fellas and I took the Polestar 2 Long Range AWD Performance for a run up the road. Max’s mum said to, and you don’t want to shit Max’s mum, believe me.

5 of us were set for the off, but Casper pulled a shonky and scored free tickets to a show in Melbs. “Don’t screw the help,” the saying goes. Well I don’t know about you but it always seems to work for Casper, who could charm the pants of a priest, or so he says.

Well so far, we are 50 shades of wrong, but I’m quoting Casper, so any law suits should be directed to his mail box.

The trip to Max’s rural compound is a well-trodden path, and the farm is now off-grid. It supplies its own power and water, and rather joyously, charges all their EVs, now numbering 5. In fact oversupply is stashed in various battery banks dotted about. Each cabin has its own, but water and power is shared over the entire idyl.

It seemed only fair to top up Polestar free of CO2 nastiness.

Ethan and Max went off to do farming things, whilst Nico and I went into town for supplies. A booty of booze and a bevy of buxom baskets brimmed with bucolic bounty was snatched up and cast into the capacious cargo carrier.

Nico has been doing a couple of side gigs and has stashed enough dough in his smalls drawer for a new car. Must be a great side gig, and no, I didn’t ask what a tall, handsome, model-esque gay man’s side gig is.

ABOVE: 2023 Polestar 2

Here were his questions:

Should I wait for next year’s Polestar 2 model?

Wait not, the 2024 Polestar 2 will be available lickety split. It has 310kw and faster charging, both better than the 2023 model. Not only that, is has a new front end that looks nasty, nasty, nasty and I love it.

Is the Polestar 2 better than the Volvo?

Hard question, and an even harder answer. Answers are always hard where Nico is concerned. I asked him what body he wanted, and he said he already had it. The conversation was heading south fast. I rephrased the question, your-honour. I asked him if he wanted an SUV, SUV/hatch, or fastback sedan. He wanted the sexiest one that went fast.

Is it faster than my old Fiat 130 Sport?

“I am faster than your old car. It was a million years old,” I quipped. But yes, especially the performance model we were in, was lightning fast. At 4.4 seconds to 100, that improves to 4.2 seconds in the ’24 upgrade.

Will I be embarrassed on GRINDR hookups

“Only if you speak,” is what I wanted to say. “No, it is gorgeous, like you,” is what came out of my mouth. I’m not too sure his randos will get much of a ride car-wise anyway. Nico is a do-it-now kinda guy.

Should I buy it?

After probing the 6’3″ Italian superstud further, it transpired Nico already wanted a Polestar, having driven the last one I tested. I asked him why he bothered asking and he replied, “I like to be reassured.” Bless!

His reasoning was, Polestar 2 is rare, new, fast, sexy, spacious, and can use reasonably fast charging. Because it’s mother was a Volvo, Polestar  as safe as a church. He’s right, and now that it has CarPlay, Nico is set to reply to all his messages without ever having to move his hands from the wheel, or whatever else they happen to be on at the time.
