ABOVE: Polestar models, current and future

A continuing question remains Polestar’s viability of sister company, Volvo, is also producing performance models. So far, the pair share platforms, and that is set to continue so what is the real value? For us, it is the cool name, sexy looks, and startling super-car performance.

As we’ll go into in the full review, on a long set of bends, not even the fastest superbike was able to catch us. We didn’t have to slow much in corners, and chances are that once on the move, the Polestar would blitz almost everything else for speed. Well, ok, not quite, but once you have felt the slap-in-the-head standing-start, it is not sooner forgotten.

With proper controls and instrumentation and slightly faster charging, Polestar looks good against the super-frumpy Tesla Model 3.
