Polestar Launches GeoGuessr Edition with Digital Rear-View Twist

Polestar has taken a detour into gaming, giving the global hit GeoGuessr a Swedish EV makeover. The new GeoGuessr Polestar edition lets players virtually roam some of Europe’s most spectacular driving roads, but with a twist that’s straight out of the Polestar 4. Just like in the car itself, the game adds a digital rear-view mirror across the top of the screen, flipping the world in reverse while you try to nail down the exact location.

For the uninitiated, GeoGuessr has become an online cult classic. Millions of players obsessively click their way through street views, hunting clues in signs, scenery, and even road markings to guess where they are. Now Polestar has folded its design DNA into the game, blurring the line between digital entertainment and car tech.

Polestar CEO Michael Lohscheller says the collab is all about exploration and creating a “playful link” between tech and adventure — plus, it’s the perfect time-killer while your EV is plugged in. GeoGuessr’s co-founder Daniel Antell said teaming up with Polestar was “natural,” calling the partnership a meeting of two Swedish icons.

To mark the launch, Polestar and GeoGuessr are revving up a Europe-wide competition alongside the 2025 GeoGuessr World Championship Finals in Copenhagen. The winner won’t just score bragging rights but will be whisked away to Polestar HQ in Gothenburg. The prize? A full immersion into the brand’s world, including time on the company’s test track with a professional racing driver — not something you get from your average gaming session.

The GeoGuessr Polestar edition is available now on desktop, mobile, and in Polestar cars via the in-car browser.
