Zeekr 9X and Lynk & Co 900: Bold design and 1.3 Mw charging

In a world where SUVs now come in more flavours than a Mardi Gras afterparty, Zeekr has decided it’s time to crank the volume—and the voltage—up to 11. Just days after unveiling the exquisitely camp 009 Grand Collector’s Edition—a decadent fusion of Chinese artistry and bleeding-edge tech—Zeekr has returned to the spotlight at the Shanghai Auto Show with its fiercest diva yet: the all-new Zeekr 9X.

This isn’t just a flagship—it’s a rolling red carpet moment. As Zeekr’s first hybrid model, the 9X is out to prove that high performance and high efficiency can, in fact, sashay down the same runway. At its heart is CATL’s Xiaoyao battery delivering a class-leading all-electric range of over 380km—the longest of any hybrid SUV on the global stage. Add in a jaw-dropping 0-100km/h sprint of just three seconds, and you’ve got a luxury land missile that’s both eco-conscious and runway-ready.

But here’s the gag: when it’s time to charge, the Zeekr 9X doesn’t just top up—it strikes. It’s set to be compatible with Zeekr’s new V4 Ultra-Fast charging pile, boasting a gobsmacking 1.3 megawatts of peak charging power. That’s enough electricity to revive a dead phone, a tired drag queen, and a rural substation all at once. Expect top-ups to be faster than you can reapply lip gloss at the lights.

Inside, the 9X goes full spaceship fantasy. The new G-Pilot H9 autonomous driving suite is powered by dual Thor chips, five LiDAR sensors, and a mind-melting 1,400 TOPS of processing power—delivering proper Level 3 autonomy with the precision of a surgeon and the flair of a Broadway choreographer. There’s also dual-chamber air suspension and active stabiliser bars, which keep things smoother than Nico’s freshly-waxed chest during a coal coast sunset drive.

And oh, the looks! The 9X features 42,242 laser-engraved, diamond-cut lamp facets that shimmer like a Kylie Minogue stage outfit. The “starry sky” lighting effect alone could land it a Vegas residency.

Not to be outdone, Lynk & Co is also shaking up the SUV scene with the upcoming 900 model, launching April 28. This six-seat stunner, riding on the SPA Evo platform, is all about space, grace, and face—offering 88.2% space efficiency and 180-degree rotating second-row seats, perfect for dramatic family chats or post-party rehydration. It’s already racked up 40,000 pre-orders.

Tech-wise, the 900 doesn’t hold back, packing dual 30-inch 6K screens front and rear, powered by dual Qualcomm 8295 chips, coordinating a total of eight screens via the LYNK Flyme Auto system. The result? A cabin more connected than your group chat on Eurovision night.

Under the bonnet, a potent 2.0T plug-in hybrid powertrain with dual rear motors and a 3-speed DHT Pro churns out 650kW—making it one of the fastest electrified SUVs in the world, with a 0-100km/h time of just 4.3 seconds. All that grunt, and it can still handle the Woolies run with poise.

With the Zeekr 9X and Lynk & Co 900, Zeekr Group is rewriting the rulebook on electric mobility—merging show-stopping design, blistering performance, and tech so advanced it may as well come with its own fan club.
